ANN PERRY MEMORIAL MISSIONS FUND

Ann Perry was a true servant for the Lord whom she loved so dearly. She was a faithful and active member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she served in WMU and as Acteen leader, among many other roles. She served as the Associational WMU director and co-consultant for Missions Involvement, which consisted of various projects like picnics for the deaf and blind, bingo for various groups, as well as prison ministry.

Ann  retired from the Mt. Zion Association after 25 years of service. She continued to serve the association by assisting with planning, cooking, and serving for many association events.

Ann received Volunteer of the Year for the N.C. Baptist State Convention Literacy Program, Church and Community Ministries Team Leader for N.C. through the Baptist State Convention, Volunteer of the Year for the Alamance/Orange Prison Ministry, and was recognized by Governor Hunt for service to humanity.

This is a way for us to honor Ann’s life and ministry by fulfilling what Jesus admonished in Matthew 25:35, 40B

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. 40b Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me."

Ann loved the Lord and had a heart for people, especially those in need. She had a special burden for those in prison or jail. Our desire is that this fund will enable us to help many, many people with benevolence needs and minister to those incarcerated.
