• PART TIME PRAISE TEAM LEADER/ BAND DIRECTOR​

• Strong spiritual foundation and a commitment to serving God and the congregation through lifting up the name of Jesus through music. Demonstrated leadership in being
  able to disciple those in his/her sphere of influence.

• Provide leadership, vision, and passion for FBCM in the area of music worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of our church. Lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities, which align with the mission and vision at FBMC

• Coordinate with Senior Pastor to create and lead Sunday worship services. This includes leading the weekly practices, Sunday Worship services, scheduling vocalists and musicians and recruitment and development of the Praise Team. Connections with local musicians desired.

• Proficiency in leading worship with a strong vocal ability. Playing the guitar and/or keyboard a plus, but not a requirement.

• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.

• Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services.

• Develop and administer an annual budget for the worship ministry in accordance with lead pastor and church policy.

• Proficiency in use and management in necessary technology and tools, such as planning center and multi tracks.

• Ready, flexible, and willing to help with any other needs of the church as we grow and progress in contemporary worship and technology.

• FULL TIME MINISTER OF MUSIC

Spray Baptist Church in Eden, North Carolina is currently seeking a full time Minister of Music. Spray Baptist Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-based body of believers.  Our church is located about 45 minutes north of Greensboro.  Since our founding in 1903, our church has remained committed to loving God and others. We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary worship and are prayerfully seeking a leader to guide our music ministry.

 

Description

• We are currently accepting resumes for a Full-Time Minister of Music to lead our entire music ministry. The individual would be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading music for all worship services, including Sunday mornings, special services, and seasonal events. The Minister of Music will be responsible for recruiting and equipping volunteers, taking the lead in building and expanding a church-wide music ministry.

• In addition to the music ministry, there are non-music ministry responsibilities that will be based on the applicant's spiritual gifts and passions. These responsibilities are a part of the weekly job expectations. These gifts could include, but are not limited to missions, youth, children, outreach, shepherding, or administration.
   

Salary Range: $42,000-$50,000 depending upon experience and education.

 

Qualifications

• Clear testimony and be a follower of Jesus

• Passion for music of all types, but especially for hymns and praise choruses

• Some music training and experience planning, preparing and leading worship services

• Must agree with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and the Spray Baptist Church Statement of Faith and by-laws.

 

Abilities

• Can proficiently play an instrument (preferably piano)

• Quality singing voice

• Ability to connect and engage with the congregation

• Team player with good relational and communication skills and a positive attitude

• Has experience with or is willing to learn skills not related to worship to promote the vision of the church (ie website, photography, sound system, etc)

 

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive worship and music ministry program for all demographics of the church (children, youth, adults)

• In coordination with the pastor, oversee the planning, preparation and leadership of Sunday morning services

• Ensure a high quality of music and media in both content (biblically and theologically strong) and presentation

• Recruit, train and lead volunteers in the music ministry including regular rehearsals.
